Elicia Carmichael
Director of Financial Solutions at LaMP
Elicia leads LaMP’s global financial solutions portfolio, with ongoing projects in the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe. Prior to joining LaMP, Elicia was VP of Strategy for Root Capital, where she led the strategy, innovation, and business development functions in service of a $100M impact investment portfolio.

Prerna Choudhury
Financial Solutions Manager at LAMP
Prerna leads the development of LaMP’s financial innovation projects spanning Africa, Asia, and Europe. Prior to joining LaMP, Prerna worked at British International Investment (BII), where she supported the development of the catalytic capital program, and evaluated and structured development impact outcomes for investments worth $1.2bn across Africa and Asia.

Krishna Ramkumar
Co-Founder & COO
Krishna is co-founder of TERN, an upskilling, global migration, and placement platform for skilled workers. Previously, he worked at Loadshare Networks and Urban Company, and also founded Avanti Fellows, a preparation program for college admissions targeting underprivileged students in India.

Richard Nerland
Independent Impact Advisor
Richard is an economist and investor who is an anchor investor in Malengo, helping build a financing model for the organization to support its mission of enabling international educational migration. Prior to this, he served as Head of International ETF at Citadel Securities.

Justin Bakule
Social Finance
Justin is VP of Impact Investments at Social Finance, where he leads partnerships with corporations to design workforce solutions that drive economic mobility. Prior to this, he served as Executive Director of the Shared Value Initiative and held leadership roles at FSG and Deloitte Consulting.

Elfid Torres
Fundes
Elfid is the CEO of FUNDES, where he leads efforts to strengthen small businesses and economic development across Latin America. He also co-founded Fundamental, a venture studio supporting start-ups to build solutions that strengthen Latin America’s microbusinesses along the value chain.

Laura Marras
Roots of Impact
Laura is an advisor at Roots of Impact, specializing in designing financial instruments that tie investment returns to social outcomes. She brings extensive experience in corporate finance and business planning including prior roles at Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, BDO, and Palladium.

Rebekah Smith
Labor Mobility Partnerships (LaMP)
Rebekah Smith is co-founder and executive director of Labor Mobility Partnerships (LaMP). She has stewarded LaMP through a growth trajectory from a working group within the Center for Global Development to a fully-fledged independent organization with over $10M committed from external funders.

Jason Wendle
Talent Mobility Fund
Jason Wendle is Head of Global Mobility at the Talent Mobility Fund as part of his work to catalyze a new development field enabling people to move for opportunity. He is also MD at the Global Development Incubator, and an advisor and board member for Labor Mobility Partnerships and Malengo.
